Access ingredients from the global library</h3><p>The MyFoodOffice Global Library provides access to over 5,000 ingredients sourced from suppliers and official databases.<br>By using existing ingredients you will automatically access:</p><ul><li>Ingredient list</li><li>Nutritional values</li><li>Allergens</li><li><i>Depending on the supplier:</i> Article nr., Description and Use instructions</li></ul><p>These ingredients will show up when you create your recipes, and automatically be added into your local ingredient library after they have been used in a recipe.&nbsp;<br><a href="https://help.myfoodoffice.com/en/article/global-library-access-premade-ingredients" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><span style="color:hsl(30,75%,60%);">Read more about the Global library by clicking here.</span></a></p><h3>2. Make sure your ingredients are up-to-date</h3><p>The ingredient page contains editable data for the following:</p><ul><li>General info (for organizing)</li><li>Price and cost (for food costing)</li><li>Unit of measures (for easier recipe creation, food costing and stock take)</li><li>Ingredient list (for food declarations)</li><li>Article Description &amp; Instructions (for internal information)</li><li>Allergens &amp; Traces (for food declarations)</li><li>Nutrition values (for food declarations)</li></ul><p>Ensuring accuracy in these fields is crucial. Incorrect data can lead to unreliable food declarations and inaccurate food cost estimates.</p><h3>4. Keep your recipes up-to-date with the correct ingredients</h3><p>Now and then you might find a better alternative for an ingredient, or even be forced to change. In these cases, it is important to update your recipes. <h3>Products and recipes defined<br>&nbsp;</h3><p><strong>Product</strong> are sellable articles with a price, size, article number, and name according to regulation and trade standards.</p><p><strong>Recipe</strong> is a list of ingredients and their quantities needed for a particular recipe size. When creating a recipe, we don't know the product's unit size, sales price, or other product related information. However, the recipe may be a source of such information, like the ingredient list and allergen content.</p><p>A product can only exist together with a recipe, but recipes can exist without a product. A recipe can be used as an ingredient in other recipes. Thus, several levels of recipes may be part of one product.</p><h3>How to best structure your products and recipes</h3><ol><li>Structure your recipes in accordance with how you produce your products. Even though our system allows you endless levels and parallell structures of sub-recipes in one product, it is not given that your company users will be able to manage and comprehend complex recipe structures.&nbsp;</li></ol><h3>Options for structuring products and recipes</h3><p>Let's dive into the options for working with products and recipes in MyFoodOffice. Delete product</strong></h3><p>As you grow your product library you will inevitably find the need to also remove products. This can be done either by deleting the product fully, or by setting it as "Inactive".</p><h3><strong>3. Product statuses</strong></h3><p>As you may have noticed on your product page, you have the option to set a status for each product.&nbsp;</p><p>The initial <strong>"draft" </strong>status is important to clarify that product data is missing.</p><p><strong>"Active" </strong>should be chosen when a product is ready for market. This makes it clear for everyone on your team that the product is ready to be used. If you are also using our B2B Sales module, a product has to be "Active" to be available for your customers.</p><p>Setting a product to <strong>"Inactive" </strong>makes it unavailable for the B2B sales portal and hides the product in your product page, but allows you to still access and reactivate the product.</p><h3><strong>4. Product data for specific purposes</strong></h3><p>Product data can be used for several purposes.
