How to manage products

1. Create products

By creating all your food products in MyFoodOffice, you will always have access to (depending on your modules):

  • Ingredient lists (Product declaration)
  • Allergen information (Product declaration)
  • Nutrition values (Product declaration)
  • Sales prices (B2B and Food costing)
  • Unit cost and earnings (Food costing)

2. Delete product

As you grow your product library you will inevitably find the need to also remove products. This can be done either by deleting the product fully, or by setting it as "Inactive".

3. Product statuses

As you may have noticed on your product page, you have the option to set a status for each product.

The initial "draft" status is important to clarify that product data is missing.

"Active" should be chosen when a product is ready for market. This makes it clear for everyone on your team that the product is ready to be used. If you are also using our B2B Sales module, a product has to be "Active" to be available for your customers.

Setting a product to "Inactive" makes it unavailable for the B2B sales portal and hides the product in your product page, but allows you to still access and reactivate the product.

4. Product data for specific purposes

Product data can be used for several purposes. Below you will find links to extensive articles that explain how you can set up your product depending on your needs and use.

5. Export options

There are several options for exporting your product data. Please read this article for further details.
